Overview

Uttarakhand is a northern Indian state in the Himalayas, known as "Devbhoomi" (Land of the Gods) for its spiritual significance and numerous Hindu pilgrimage sites. The state's economy is heavily supported by tourism, which focuses on religious sites, adventure activities like trekking, and the state's natural beauty, including its forests, mountains, and the origin points of the Ganges and Yamuna rivers. Geographically, it is divided into two main regions, Garhwal and Kumaon, and features a diverse landscape ranging from glaciers to subtropical forests
